EidosMedia website
EidosMedia’s software powers some of the world’s largest news organisations and the publishing operations of leading financial institutions. Its corporate site had to make that legible to enterprise buyers, and it had to run on the company’s own CMS, which made the design and the implementation the same conversation.

Context
EidosMedia was founded in Milan in 1999 by a development team with two decades of experience building publishing systems for newspapers and magazines. Today its software runs newsroom and financial-publishing operations at global scale.
The design brief for a company like this is a credibility brief. The buyer is an enterprise committee, the product is invisible infrastructure, and the site has to make a highly technical platform legible to people who will never open it.
What I did
Working inside the team: design concept, UX and UI, then development support through to implementation, writing the HTML for the templates myself.
The constraint that shaped the work was that the site is published through EidosMedia’s own CMS. A layout is not finished when it looks right in a design tool, it is finished when an editor can produce it from the platform without asking a designer. So the design had to resolve into components the CMS could actually express, and being close to the code is what kept that honest.
The useful discipline
Designing a company’s marketing site on the company’s own product means the site doubles as a demonstration of the product. If the platform makes the page awkward to build, that is not a design problem to work around, it is a finding to take back to the product team.
